Started by a group of graduate students that felt the need to connect OSU’s Indian community with OSU mainstream culture, the Indian Student Association has, since its inception, been committed to promoting “Unity through Diversity" (Jawaharlal Nehru). Since then, this organization has strived to help cultivate a deeper cultural understanding at OSU whilst making students feel at home by actively organizing informational sessions, cultural and recreational activities and events, and attempting to lend a hand where they can.

The Indian Students Association at Oregon State University is committed to promoting Indian culture and heritage at OSU and the city of Corvallis. As an organization, our aim is to unify OSU's Beaver spirit with the morals and traditions of Indian culture.

ISA welcomes anyone and everyone who is interested in learning more about Indian culture and its place at Oregon State. It is currently home to hundreds of international students on campus. The association hopes to promote and increase awareness of Indian heritage at OSU and throughout Corvallis by not only organizing cultural events but by being involved in the community and providing guidance to students new both to the university and to the country. Most importantly, the Indian Student Association hopes to play a part in helping students feel more at home.
